421. Apple Orchard: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story

August 09, 2024

Allie and her parents go to the apple orchard to pick apples.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new stories this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Apple Orchard,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 9:05

Apple Orchard Excerpt:

The sun shone through a crack in window blinds. Allie’s eyes fluttered and opened and she sat up with a smile. Today was the day she was going apple
picking! She had been waiting for this all week! Allie pictured the orchard in her head. Rows of beautiful little apple trees with bright red apples, golden yellow apples, tart green apples, and even some super sweet pink apples!

Allie jumped out of bed and ran out into the hallway to see if anyone was up. The house was still very quiet, but her parents’ bedroom door was open. She peeked around the corner. They weren’t in bed. Allie ran to the stairs. The warm scent of coffee meant that her parents were awake too! As she came down the stairs, her mom said, “Good Morning!” with a smile in her voice.
