Sensory Processing Disorder - Almost Autism
Because I had learned how to research an issue, I discovered that the roots of my sons’ and my illnesses - and of most children's and adults’ chronic illnesses began with immunity issues and inflammation.

 Maria, Autism, And Sensory Processing Disorder - SPD
To understand it more completely first one must accept the fact that Sensory Processing Disorder identifies a complexity of issues, with many connections to a variety of biological conditions. The good news is that most contributory factors can be identified with more aggressive measures and laboratory understandings. Listen up as Maria outlines essential, easily understood basics here at CBJ/072.
Who
Maria is a former Wall Street sell-side equity research analyst who is now a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. She is the author of the bestselling book, Almost Autism: Recovering Children from Sensory Processing Disorder, A Reference for Parents and Practitioners.

She is also a Board Member, Media Director and blogger for Epidemic Answers, a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose goal is to help parents recover their children from these and other chronic illnesses.
Why
As a health coach, she helps parents make diet and lifestyle changes to recover their children from symptoms of Sensory Processing Disorder [SPD], almost autism, autism, PDD-NOS, and ADHD. She has recovered her two boys from SPD, asthma, and acid reflux. Street wisdom, excellent research, and deep, personal experience encourage a more detailed view of comprehensive prevention and management for these commonplace disorders.
Maria's Personal Biomedical Experience
I recovered my sons’ health with dietary changes, therapies and a biomedical approach without using pharmaceuticals.

My sons had Sensory Processing Disorder (I call it “almost autism”), asthma, allergies, and acid reflux - and I had shingles (twice!), severe fatigue, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, bronchitis, irritability and insomnia. [Ed. Note: Estrogen dominance insights coming soon.]

Because I had learned how to research an issue while working on Wall Street, I discovered that the roots of my sons’ illnesses are:

* Toxicity from heavy metals, endocrine disruptors, and other toxins
* Gut dysbiosis
* Immune dysregulation
* Nutritional deficiencies
* Hormonal imbalances, especially adrenal and thyroid hormones
* Chronic inflammation
