Episode 30: NY Times Wakes From Its Slumber, Keeping (and Not Keeping) Secrets in the Media, and Name That Quote

February 13, 2013

The New York Times seems to have woken up from its 4-year slumber and realized that the Barack Obama is essentially pushing the same defense policies as Bush. Truly a shocker (to those who have not been paying attention.) Hey Times. Obama’s been making the same arguments he criticized for more than just last week. But I guess now that he’s been reelected, you’re free to notice it now.

In other news that the media has ignored, it was recently discovered that the Times and the Washington Post kept secret the fact that the US has a drone base in Saudi Arabia. The papers didn’t touch the story until the details had leaked out elsewhere. I compare that to how the Times dealt with secrets during the Bush administration. What a difference an administration makes!

And once again we play “Name That Quote”! This time, it’s a quote about ObamaCare(tm) that the speaker says will require more and more taxes, and even >gasp< Death Panels! No, it’s not Sarah Palin. See if you can guess who it is before I spill the beans.
