The Cinematography Podcast Episode 65: Director Adam Rehmeier and DP Jean-Phillipe Bernier

Dinner in America is a surreal punk-rock comedy filled with gleeful anarchy directed by Adam Rehmeier and shot by cinematographer Jean-Phillipe Bernier. The film creates a world of heightened reality with a vibrant, primary color palette that Adam, Jean-Phillipe and production designer Francesca Palombo discussed at length to create an 80's feel. Both Adam and Jean Phillipe have a love of punk rock, and the soundtrack for the movie features a lot of original music. It took awhile to cast the characters Simon and Patty, played by actors Kyle Gallner and Emily Skeggs, who are two oddball loners looking to take down all the assholes in their “normal” Midwestern town.

Dinner in America premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and has yet to receive a release date.
