As humans, it is a natural thing to make plans and have dreams.  As  Christian singles waiting on God for a spouse or a relationship we naturally start to build up a mental plan of how we want things to happen instead of being open to God’s plan.  Although there is nothing wrong with planning ahead, we have to remember that God is sovereign over everything including our every day lives.  If we try to resist His plan, the outcome is sure to be empty and depressing.  However, if we fall into His arms and fully trust Him, he promises that our joy will over flow.  Today, Pastor Dave is finishing up a series on the Book of james talking about being God reliant instead of self reliant.

^13 Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profitâ€â€” ^14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. ^15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.  As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.†-James 4:13-16
