The Last Hangman Today’s case and movie is The Last Hangman which is based on the life and career of Albert Pierrepoint, who was one of the head executioners in the UK between 1931 and 1956.  It is estimated he executed between 435 and 600 people, 200 of these were war criminals right after WWII.
