Episode 73: Grant Inman (Host of the My Funeral Home Stories podcast)

March 06, 2021

In 2019, I interviewed a gentleman named Grant Inman. He is a unique individual who spent a decade working in the death business with his father. He has seen homicide victims, suicide victims, people who have died in automobile accidents and those who have been fortunate enough to die of natural causes in their sleep.

So who is Grant Inman? Well, he isn’t a fireman, a police officer or a paramedic. Grant experienced much death while working for his father at the family funeral home. He also hosts an excellent and unique podcast called My Funeral Home Stories.

If you are fascinated by true crime or if you have ever wondered what it’s like to be around the deceased, then you need to listen to his podcast. I found the episodes addictive. To get an idea of his podcast, I played a small clip from an episode and then followed up by asking him questions about what it was like working in the funeral home business. I think most of us have a morbid curiosity with death. It’s one of life’s darkest mysteries. To quote the late singer Jim Morrison. “No one here gets out alive.”

To listen to Grant's podcast, listen on iHeart radio (https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-my-funeral-home-stories-30994443) or wherever else you get your podcasts. You can also follow him on IG at https://www.instagram.com/pomoandkitsch/.

Note* And for this week’s episode, I would also like to mention that some listeners may find this week’s content disturbing.
