Episode 28: The Pat Neff Hall Jr. cold case

April 19, 2020

For this episode, I spoke to John Hall, whose brother Pat was murdered in 1982. He seeks help from the public to identify his brother's killer.

On Saturday, October 16, 1982, Houston Police officers responded to a call in the 900 block of Harbor Street. Upon arrival, officers were advised that at approximately 2:30 a.m., near the corner of Harbor Street and Abilene Street, Mr. Pat Neff Hall, Jr. was shot and killed. The victim was walking home with a co-worker from Margie and Bill’s Lounge, located at 1134 Harbor Street.

According to the co-worker, the men went their separate ways around 12:15 a.m. Mr. Hall continued walking northbound on Harbor Street and the co-worker turned onto a side street.
The motive behind the murder of Mr. Hall is still a mystery. Mr. Hall's family, along with the Houston Police Department's Cold Case, Squad request the public's assistance in solving this murder.

If you know anything about Pat's death, please send tips to Houston’s Crimestoppers at 713-222-Tips. I will share this information on the podcast notes. Your tips could qualify you for a reward from Crimestoppers.
