Gospel-Centered Counseling
It's the first week of February and I was delighted to have Elyse Fitzpatrick on the show.
We talked about our Super Bowl plans and I found out that Elyse likes baseball instead. After that heartbreak, I needed some counseling (just kidding). It's a good thing that Elyse has been a counselor for almost 20 years! I talked to her about the differences between secular and biblical counseling, the push for gospel-centered counseling, the church's role in counseling, and the need for more women counselors in the church.
It was a great, focused, and short talk. To find out more about Elyse, follow her on Twitter at @elysefitz or check out her website http://www.elysefitzpatrick.com/. I also recommend her book "Counsel From The Cross". You can find it on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Counsel-Cross-Connecting-Broken-People-ebook/dp/B002ED4WYQ/
