Calvinist Batman & Friends

Calvinist Batman & Friends

DC Animated Calvinism

January 27, 2015

ANNOUNCEMENT: From now on we will be releasing new episodes on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays.

This week I have my good friend and partner-in-crime, The Super Theologian, join me as we talk about movies and Calvinism. You know, the same old stuff. We talked about how the Super Theologian revealed his real identity to be Kyle James Howard. We also talked about the greatness of DC Animated films and argued what the best Batman film is. (Hint: It's the Dark Knight Returns)

Afterwards, Kyle and I had a deep and lenthy (seriously) discussion about Calvinism. Coming on the heels of last week's intro to theonomy, we decided to do an intro to Calvinism, looking at TULIP through a whole-bible lens. Kyle was excellent in giving the history and reasons why TULIP came to be and why Armianism called for the church to puts its doctrine on salvation and sovereignty into five points. This is a great episode for those who are on the fence about Calvinism and it is refreshing for those who have been reformed for a long time.

To find out more about The Super Theologian and/or Kyle, follow him on Twitter at @supertheologian and @kylejameshoward. You can leave him a question at http://www.ask.fm/ttheologian, which he will often answer on his podcast "The Super Theologian Q&A".
