Modern brain scanners allow unprecedented non-invasive access to the human brain. This is invaluable in healthcare and has helped to make major advances in the scientific understanding of brain processes. Recently, they have been used to show decision-making in the brain, including predicting behaviours. How far can we and should we go in reading the mind? Gary Green, York University, will discuss what is currently possible and debate associated ethics.
