Christine Borland is an acclaimed international artist, whose works are in national collections worldwide, from London’s Tate Gallery to Sydney’s Art Gallery of New South Wales. She will discuss her research which focuses on medical institutions as she observes and participates in their practices to create works that bring a human dimension to clinical observations. Her current studio at Baltic 39 is a cultural hub in Newcastle’s city centre where Christine is developing North East research networks in her new role as Baltic Professor of Contemporary Art.
