4 March 2013 - Café Scientifique

What we have learned, so far, from analysing the 2011  Census
Chris Stephens will explore with us what we have learned so far, at TWRI Policy and Research, from the 2011 Census. Chris will share and discuss some results which should be interesting and surprising for us. Please note this is a change from the published event with Ludi Simpson who is not able to be with us on Monday, we would like to thank Chris for agreeing to step in for this talk.

Chris Stephens is Associate Director, Statistical Analysis at TWRI Policy and Research working on population projections and, currently, the 2011 Census output for England & Wales. Previously, Chris worked as a Statistician/Researcher for Newcastle City Council for 35 years. Before that, he was a Social Researcher at Newcastle University where he worked on previous censuses. Since then, he has worked, more as a hobby, on a small number of theoretical statistical and mathematical matters.

Thank you to Ginger’s Café and Dance City, PEALS, Newcastle University and the Royal Society of Chemistry for supporting our events.
