The grace of God knows no bounds. It is so unimaginable; it is impossible for us to truly grasp it. Jesus wants to stoop down and look us in the eyes; He wants to see us in all of our fallen nature. When He called Matthew to be His disciple, He was showing the world what He wanted—God connected to everyone. The religious crowd built up walls between themselves and the sinners of the world. Jesus broke down those walls. He called a man who was representative of the worst of the worst in Jewish culture; then, He went farther and had dinner with Matthew’s friends—prostitutes, tax collectors, etc…Jesus loves us all and is not afraid of our sins. He wants to connect us with God. His grace knows no bounds.
