Spiritual Leadership - Part 5 - Joshua, Leaders Begin as Great Servants

October 13, 2013

The greatest leaders are the greatest followers. That is the primary leadership lesson we can learn from Joshua. He was a follower before he was a leader. Joshua was a man of faith who saw the opportunities in the opposition. He obeyed when Moses commanded him, and he submitted without giving attitude. In this modern era, it is almost too easy to complain about and rebel against authority. Leaders know what it is to submit to those who are over them. Leaders like to know where they stand in the ranking. They understand their place, and they submit in service to it. God trusts an attitude that is willing to submit to Him and sees what He can do; it is that kind of attitude that He blesses.
