Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12 that we are the body of Christ. He compares Christian and church life to being a body. A body has multiple parts that work together to function at 100% capacity. In the same way, we are people of diverse and different backgrounds that are called to work and function together to achieve the will of God. God created us with specific gifts, and He chose us to be a part of His Kingdom before we were ready. He has called each and every one of us. He has given us a purpose. When we walk together, as one, cooperating but not completing each other, we see the Holy Spirit work in, through, and among us to reach those who are lost.
