Why Self-Love Might Be The Key To World Peace

September 12, 2025

Here’s a radical new revelation – there’s a connection between self love practices and world peace which I’m so excited to tell you about. Hang in there with me because this takes a while to unravel.

Still Learning to Let Go

This is part of my continuing quest to learn how to let go. New ideas keep showing up, probably to help me release deeper layers or finish with things I started that aren’t done yet.

I have several situations in my life that I cannot fix. The only solution is to let go. Somehow, I have to release my need to rehearse speeches in my head.

These thought loops brings me down and drain my energy. It certainly doesn’t allow me to expand fully or reach my potential. A cloud forms over my sparkly being and holds me back. Yet, my brain slips into this groove automatically, as if it likes being there.

Yesterday, I was talking to a friend who is also going through this thought loop habit. Energy patterns are always easier to spot with someone else, soI can distill the issue and see the solution. Here’s what I told her from spirit, which of course applies to me too.

Big Revelation

“You cannot let go by thinking about letting go. Why? Because this requires you to think about the situation and hold onto the energy rather than letting it go. You can’t think about letting go and actually let go at the same time. The very act of thinking about it holds you to the problem you desperately want to release.

Yes, feel your feelings. I’m not suggesting you stuff down your feelings. But when it comes to letting go, being in your head will not help.

What can you do? The solution is to think about something else. Years ago I started calling this practice “replacement thoughts.” And here it is again.

The point is to think about something you actually want to think about. Choose what makes you feel good, smile, or builds confidence. Consider what will set your energy in motion in the most positive way and replace those circular, negative thought loops.

Let me give you two examples. If I catch myself looping, I might think about a great vacation memory of being in Ireland. That thought instantly changes my mood. Or, if I want something uplifting, I might focus on my affirmations: “I trust the universe and feel supported.”

Jump Tracks in Your Brain

These thoughts reroute the energy, like jumping a train track, so you move toward a brighter destination. Neuroscience backs this up. The brain has many well-worn pathways and surprisingly, negative tracks are preferred. The more you repeat a thought, the deeper the pathway becomes, until it’s well-worn.

But you can create new paths! With practice, replacement thoughts create new grooves in your brain and eventually, those uplifting thoughts will become the new default.

Yesterday I found the perfect replacement practice for me, and I want to share it with you because it’s so darn good. I listened to Dani Kenney’s podcast Energy Expansion and her episode on life-changing daily practices. She had several good ideas but the one I liked is called Love Letters. I’ll call it Love Notes.

Dani suggests you start your day by writing yourself a Love Note. Get a journal just for this purpose. If you don’t want to write sentences, make a daily list of bullet points that you love about yourself. This is one of many self love practices

She read a few examples during the podcast and started by just with “I love that you…” and wrote something different each day, based on her mood or what was happening.

Self Love Practices – Love Note

I started today in my own way. I encourage you to do the same. Give yourself permission to do what works for you. Here’s what I wrote as my very first entry:

“I love myself. I am a beacon of light. I am magic. I trust the universe and feel supported. I walk my highest path. I am stardust, leaving a sparkling trail of joy behind me and creating a sparkling path of joy before me, paving the way to what is next. I share my light with the world. Today is going to be fun!”

After, I connected with my guides to see what they had to say today. Here’s what they said to me.

“What a beautiful way to start your day! You will begin to enjoy this process more than something you must or should do. It’s something you’ll relish. You’ll love doing this and look forward to it.

It won’t be a chore on your list but a practice of uplifting yourself and connecting with the truth of your soul. It will bring you joy and set your energetic intention for the day. Welcome to your next level. Walk boldly. Walk in the light. Walk in the joy and live in the magic.”

Ok wow. That brought tears to my eyes. I’m going to keep after these self love practices.

The Maharishi Effect

Here’s what happened right after I finished my love note yesterday. I got a text from a woman in my manifesting group. She sent me an article about the Maharishi Effect and asked if I had heard of it.

Yes, I heard about this and knew groups gathered, using Transcendental Meditation to move humanity towards peace. They’ve done incredible scientific research to show that the power of people who do this is mathematically squared. In other words, when 10 people meditate they have the power of 100. And when thousands of people gather, that represents millions!

Their research also shows that group meditations drive a decrease in violence – 16% on average, in the location where they meditate. This all started back in 1974 and is still going strong.

Okay, let’s take this a step further. Here’s what came to me from spirit.

“Imagine a world where people loved themselves. When people say, ‘I’m just one person, what can I do that will make a difference?’ now you know what to do. When you meditate with others for peace it does make a difference. When you love yourself and start your day with love notes, you raise your vibration which ripples out to people around you.”

Bioenergetic Clearings

When I do bioenergetic clearings for people, I start and finish by measuring their hertz frequency. I find there’s often a dramatic jump upwards after the clearing.

Next time you have a personal clearing, remember you are actually upleveling the world. Everyone around you benefits. That’s amazing isn’t it? Another great example of self love practices.

We are so very powerful, but don’t spend enough time leveraging the positive. However, we are naturally good at leveraging negative energy. We talk about the crumbling state of the world, listen to the news, and complain about our lives or other people. I do it too.

This has caused a rise in hatred, a split in our country, and  the inability to listen to or understand the opposing side.

One Person Does Make a Difference

But what if we changed that? What if it were as simple as starting your day by loving yourself? Acknowledge the good you contain and share that with the world. You matter. You matter in a huge way and it’s time to start acknowledging that.

Just because you can’t see or doubt your impact in this moment, that has nothing to do with the truth of your impact. Every single one of you matter and contribute to the good of the whole and the world.

This is why spiritual leaders say world peace starts with inner peace. And this idea of writing love notes, expressing love for yourself is a massive energetic accelerator.

Add to the Light

Here’s a deep truth. When I love myself, I’m not just healing me. I’m adding light to the grid that connects us all. Every kind word I whisper to myself, every loving thought I hold, ripples outward. Being kind to others is important but loving yourself is a force of gigantic proportion.

This is my invitation to you. Tomorrow morning, write a single light-filled love note to yourself. Let it be simple, inspired, and fun! get started with self love practices. Notice how even the smallest act shifts the current you’re flowing in.

Because this is how magic works. One thought at a time. One heart at a time. And before you know it, that little ripple becomes a big wave.
