In this episode, I reveal the gory details of a dramatic Holy Fire Reiki session with my guest Cindy Bain. She’s a Holy Fire III Reiki Master who’s not only deeply gifted but also warm, wise, and totally tuned in.

Reiki’s Evolution

First, let me briefly explain Reiki in case you are new to this modality. Reiki was ushered into the world by Mikao Usui of Japan in 1920, adn then to Hawaii in 1937 by his student Takata.

It was a gentle healing technique using hands to channel universal life force energy. Often described as calming, soothing, and supportive of the body’s natural healing process, today that barely scratches the surface.

Cindy explained how Reiki has significantly grown and expanded. She’s trained at the Master level in three styles—Tibetan Usui, Karuna, and the supercharged Holy Fire World Peace Reiki.

Each has its own energetic frequency and flavor. Holy Fire III, in particular, carries a high-vibration frequency that works on deep spiritual and emotional levels. This is soul-deep energy work.

Not a Spa-Day Reiki Session

I had no idea how much Reiki had changed since I first took Reiki I back in 1990and then became a Master in 1994. Thirty years is plenty of time for an energetic evolution, and wow…has it ever evolved! This is no longer some pleasant spa treatment!

Cindy’s sessions are simply amazing, blending multiple Reiki energy methods with past life work. Sometimes she even ventures into the faery realm, depending on what your soul requires.

The first thing she noticed during my session was an energetic “shield” around me. It had once served as protection, but now it was outdated and holding me back. She gently released it, freeing me up for more growth and expansion.

Next she found me in the faery realm. She saw me half in sparkling faery light and the other half in the shadows. Apparently, I’d encountered a dark elemental somewhere along the way. Cindy cleared that too, so I could fully stand in the light where I belong.

What really surprised me was that I never told her about my connection to nature spirits. But there she was, seeing the situation that needed to be addressed.

Gratitude as a Gateway

Another gem from our session was the suggestion that gratitude could open the door to more joy for me. I’ve followed through with that and did an entire episode on how to embody gratitiude. This explains the new practice I’m using that has been incredbily helpful!

Healing an Ancient Betrayal

The next thing Cindy found and addressed was a difficult past life. She saw a lifetime where I practiced herbal magic and healing and was tragically betrayed by a mentor who turned out to be a dark witch. I was lured into a coven and sacrificed for my light. Heavy stuff, right?

Cindy immediately saw a powerful way to rewrite this devastating ending. She placed me in a radiant column of white light that actually revived me and scattered the entire group of women, never to regroup again. I loved how she shifted the image – so powerful, satisfying, and seriously empowering.

That betrayal explained so much about my current-day issues with trusting spiritual teachers and authority figures. That’s the kind of multidimensional healing Reiki offers.

Breaking Through the Crown

As we wrapped up, Cindy uncovered one last impediment – a heavy metal plate covering my crown chakra. Instantly, I remembered my first attempt at meditation years ago. A surge of purple light rushed in pushing down harshly on my head. My heart pounded and I could hardly breathe. It was intense… and a little terrifying.

Back then, I had no idea what was happening. I instinctively focused on my breath, trying to calm myself. Eventually, the sensations passed and I opened my eyes, shaken but okay.

Now, with Cindy’s insight, it all made sense. That iron plate had been blocking my crown chakra for decades. No wonder I’d felt spiritually stifled at times.

Soul Cleansing

This Holy Fire Reiki experience was so much more than a relaxing session. It was a deep, soul-cleansing adventure across time and space. From past-life healing to energetic upgrades, it reminded me that I am always being guided towards my best possible self.
