In this episode, discover the unforgettable magical moments of 2024 that my friend Marla Martenson and I enjoyed. We had so much FUN discussing mediumship, connecting with our mothers in spirit, animal communication, and more!

A little about Marla Martenson – She is a matchmaker, coach, energy healer, tarot reader, and is diving deep into mediumship. We told the tales of some extraordinary experiences and mystical stories that shaped 2024 for both of us.

We kicked off the conversation with Marla sharing a story about a seance she attended at a metaphysical store in Los Angeles (The Green Man Store). During the session, they connected with spirit, and Marla received a poignant message from her grandmother Rose, urging her to turn the page on her grief about her mom.

The message for her was spot on and this encounter was a profound reminder of the close connections between our world and the spiritual realm. Our ancestors really are right there for us. And after this session, the sadness has been lifting.

For me, the magic of 2024 also included a memorable mediumship reading that Marla did for me! She connected with my mother, who showed her the image of a light switch. Neither of us knew what that meant, but that night when I shut off the light, it flicked back on instantly! I figured this was my mom who next, turned on my Kindle!

Talk about magical moments – the whole thing made me laugh and comforted me knowing my mom who has passed is still around. These experiences serve as powerful reminders that the unseen bonds that link us to those we hold dear but have left the earth plane, still do exist.

The conversation took an intriguing turn when I recounted a story about a barking dog at the beach. After a peaceful afternoon of sun nad surf, as I walked back to my car, the dog that always barked at me started up.

Suddenly, in my mind I heard the instruction to tell the dog, “I love you.”  That seemed completely crazy, but I did it and much to my surprise, the dog stopped barking. In fact, it didn’t bark at me again for the rest of the season. This was certainly one of the year’s most magical moments.

I wouldn’t say animal communication is my strong point, but it did make a profound impression of how animals need love and acknowledgment, not just humans.

Marla and I shifted to talk about our spiritual journeys. I had taken a powerful shaman course called Animal Allies with Kerri Hummingbird which was amazing. On one journey in the series, I connected with the spirit of jaguar, who cut me to ribbons, put me back together, and gave me four meaningful gifts including eagle feathers, a quartz crystal, corn kernels, and a new heart.

Marla has had many plant medicine journeys over the years, which have opened her to other dimensions and given her transformative insights. She explained how these trips are not for the faint of heart, and the journey she did in 2024 with her Shaman Riz was tough, she said, but the insights were completely worth it.

Journeys reveal layers of your consciousness and encourage you to embrace change and healing. Both Marla and I have learned a lot from these deep and insightful experiences.

Other magical moments included the synchronicities that occur when we think about someone, and they then reach out to us. Marla shared how two friends she hadn’t been in touch with, but thought about recently, just reached out to her.

I mentioned how I always know when these two friends in particular are calling on the phone, before I look at the caller ID. Does that ever happen to you too?

We also touched on the importance of clearing your energy and cutting cords that connect you to others. This is particularly good to do after conflicts or after being in crowded spaces. Using simple rituals, like calling upon Archangel Michael, can help you release any energetic ties that no longer serve you or weigh you down.

As we journey through the year, it’s beautiful to acknowledge these magical moments of synchronicity and transformation. They remind us of the web of life and energy we are all a part of.

Marla’s insights into personal fulfillment resonated deeply with me. It’s so good to seek fulfillment in your pursuits, allowing this to illuminate your path and help you move into being your true self. Embracing your own luminous presence can lead to a profound impact on your life,those around you and the world.

We talked about the fulfilling nature of sharing our joy and inspiration. For example, Marla makes daily videos, which not only uplift others but also herself. She creates them simply because they are fun vs. marketing for her business, and she’s always happy to hear what the viewers enjoyed.

To wrap up our delightful conversation, we drew cards for the upcoming holiday season. I picked a card from the gorgeous Fairy Forest Oracle Cards that conveyed a message of shining hope and a positive future. It reinforced the theme of magical transformation and optimism.
