Happy Pride Month! The Mental Health of the Trans Community

June 05, 2023

Pride month comes at a time when there are there are 491 anti- LGBTQ bills at the state legislative level according to the ACLU (as of Thursday June 1st 2023).

How can you be a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community this month and why has the trans-youth conversation become so politicized?

Nicole Modonna (She/Her, licensed Social Worker and Clinical Therapist) and Hayden Nielsen (He/Him, Trans man and Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate) join the podcast to share their experiences helping the trans community navigate their mental health. In the process they help separate fact from fiction concerning gender affirming care.

This is a mental health conversation, not a political one.
