Be There in Five
Beth: A Week in the Life
This week, Kate experiments with the snorkel format by recording daily minisodes and threading them together (as opposed to a stream of consciousness in one sitting) to create a week in the life. She feels like she gets really into things but forgets about them near immediately, and this format is attempting to capture what she’s thinking about on a daily basis and what pop culture/tv/tiktoks she’s paying attention to in passing.
In this episode, Kate takes on:
-The Texas 6-week abortion ban (skip to minute 15 to get to lighter stuff, not comprehensive but an angle to consider for talking to people that think they can't be impacted)
-Her personal war on pantries filled with dry goods outside of their original containers for aesthetically pleasing food storage organization porn
-A needlessly intense review of Ted Lasso
-Manifesting babes linking their menstrual cycle to the moon??
-Light venting about a lack of preparedness in OOTD videos
-A low effort investigation into who invented the days of the week
-What if biblical characters had housewives taglines?
-Her concern for college students becoming influencers when we don’t know the long term implications of building a career without a traditional skillset or education for passing fame
-Donda/Kim & Kanye’s symbolic marriage
-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills/Did Erika Jayne know?
-Kate's dream of naming OPI nail polishes or eyeshadow palettes
Among other things. Enjoy!
