How to Debrief and Unwind
One of the most important exercises after a season of learning or deep adventure with God is debriefing. Debreifing is a "careful review after completion" according to formal definition, and it often helps us mine the golden treasures of a season that, otherwise, might be left laying on the ground of our memories. Here are some basic debriefing questions, and I would ask you to take the time to write out your answers:
Write out what catalyst moment brought you to this place in your journey to choose the Kingdom IQ season of learning.
How would you describe the weekly work and study schedule of the Kingdom IQ season? How long did it take you? What did you do each week?
Write what your expectation was for this whole season. How has the outcome been different than your early expectations?
Who were your primary comrades during the season of learning, and what role did they play?
What has this season developed in you for the next season in your life? What new courage do you have? What new plans are you making?
What a great gathering this would make! Invite your comrades from the learning season into a round table discussion here, mid-summer, and share your debriefing notes! You will discover some great things about yourself and about one another. You might discover what you would like to do next in your learning journey with God. Have you considered what you might want to dig into this fall? What part of your Kingdom IQ would you like to raise?
I am still moving toward developing a small group "kit" for the Kingdom IQ basics for release this fall. Would you consider donating to help me put it all together? It is a great way to say thanks. After that, I may turn my attention to taking each Root in the learning syllabus and creating a deeper learning track for reach one! Bam! What do you think about that?
