Recently, Phyllis Schlafly appallingly implied that the reason sexual assault on college campuses is increasing is because too many women are now attending college. (1) Dangerous statements like these as well as more positive campaigns like No More (2)  tend to reinvigorate the very important conversation around sexual assault. One group of survivors that are often left out of this discussion is the trans* community.

On this episode of The Strong Stance we will speak to Nicole Armstead and Christa Heilman from the Network for Victim Recovery of D.C. about the resources for survivors of sexual assault in the DC area and the unique experiences of those that are trans* and gender non-conforming.
