On Friday, January 9, 2015, I experienced every homeowner's worst nightmare--my upstairs bathroom had a blockage in the plumbing line that created a backup and spilled into the ceiling. This started an electrical fire.  When I got the call, my only focus was on my family and making sure they got out safely.  

Then, I did what I have always been taught to do.  My first call was to my home owner's insurance claim center.  I mean, that is why I paid over $1700 per year in premiums for the last 7 years right?  

Things went from bad to worse as the water damage restoration work began.  Honestly, I never planned on making a podcast about my experience but as this began to unfold like a bad horror movie.
