The 737-800 was en route from Kunming to Guangzhou at 29,100 feet when it descended precipitously, managed a slight recovery and climb before again falling toward the ground. We discuss what we know so far about the crash and the status of the investigation.

The number of aircraft re-registered by Russian airlines has reached nearly 800. Meanwhile, EASA is warning of interruptions to satellite-based position information for aircraft near Russia. And Russia is considering increasing production of the Tu-214 in the face of sanctions.
