Around The Hill
Canada's Politics on Climate Change
This week, in the wake of the tragic attacks in Paris, Around The Hill interviews security and intelligence specialist Mr. David Harris and asks about how these terrorist actions will impact the upcoming COP21 meetings in Paris.
Next, we listen to an exert of the introductory remarks made at the Hill Times event on Thursday November 12 at the Westin Ottawa. Entitled the Politics of Canada's Policy on Climate Change, we hear from panelists Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada, Dr. Tom Pedersen Chair of the Canadian Climate Forum, Hon. Sergio Marchi, President of the Canadian Electricity Association and the Hon. Glen Murray, Minister of Environment and Climate Change in Ontario. It becomes clear that even with great intentions there is still a lot of politics to overcome domestically if we are wanting to achieve our goals and make a contribution.
