When I was 10 years old, my collection of comic books started with the collection of a little series called “Alpha Flight.” I didn’t collect them because they were Canadian. I didn’t collect them because they were almost like the X-Men. I collected them, because they were a Team – at ALL COSTS. The sample of detail that’s collected, showcased, and reveled inside this episode of Agents of SHIELD ON ABC – Season 3, episode 2 – Purpose of the Machine, gives us a taste of that TEAM-centric abandon – the theory that we will – no matter the cost to ourselves, make the sacrifice to endeavour, seek out, and find our team no matter the cost. It’s almost as if I’d just spent another $1.25 for a book to add to my revered collection of comics – well, Not really. It’s actually WAY MORE than that.
