On January 9, 2026, hundreds of Madisonians turned out to Capitol Square to hold a vigil for Renee Nicole Good, who was shot dead by I.C.E. agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis. The event was sponsored by Voces de la Frontera and the Badger Collective. Featured speakers include: Voces de la Frontera Director Christina Neumann Ortiz and rapid response volunteer Libby as well as the Reverend Everett Mitchell.
