Since August of 2025, Madison-based performance artist Nicole Gruter has been searching for someplace that feels like home out on U.S. Highway 14.  Highway 14, one of the nation’s first federal highways, runs 1400 miles from Chicago to Yellowstone National Park.  Along the way, Nicole’s been collecting stories from the various personalities who reside along the iconic road.  Nicole joins us now by phone – from London, England, of all places – with a new installment.
