Mecha de Teejop, formerly Mecha de UW-Madison, has disaffiliated from the UW-Madison resulting from a pattern of harassment and intimidation toward its Latine and Chicane members.  In the recent campus protest of the genocide in Gaza, the group was falsely accused of promoting antisemitism, for which it later was exonerated of any wrongdoing by the UW.  But not before it endured the wrath of the school’s administration.

Two members of Mecha join the 8 O’Clock Buzz to talk about events leading up to the student group’s decision to disaffiliate from the UW, but also to encourage people to attend a demonstration in support of Palestine to be held Friday, October 4^th at 5:30 PM at the Capitol.
