Performance Anxiety

Laura Carbone

March 30, 2021

This week Laura Carbone joins us from Berlin. She’s released a Live album, Live at Rockpalast that’s the closest thing to a live show we’ve had in over a year. Why? Because it’s a live album with absolutely no overdubs or corrections. We talk about how an accidental gift of Nirvana’s Nevermind changed her musical perspective, causing her to put down her flute and pick up a guitar. She also talks about why she used demo vocals in the final mix of an album to get a true take over a polished one. And I wanted her to explain the differences between European and US audiences. Follow her on social media. Pick up Live at RockPalast on Bandcamp. Follow us @PerformanceAnx on social media. Give us a review and help us rise on the charts. There’s merch designed by Mark Dancey of Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger fame on performanceanx.threadless.com. Or treat us to a cup a coffee on ko-fi.com/performanceanxiety. Now let’s join the conversation with Laura Carbone on Performance Anxiety on Pantheon Podcasts.
