Fighting for Trucking: Tort Reform & CARB Battles | Kent Grisham on Nemo Nation
On this episode of Nemo Nation, hosts Dave Nemo and Jimmy Mac welcome back Kent Grisham, President & CEO of the Nebraska Trucking Association.
Kent and his team have been on the front lines in the fight against government overreach—most notably as one of only two trucking associations in the nation to sue the California Air Resources Board (CARB). That lawsuit ended in a settlement, including a repeal of the Advanced Clean Fleets rules, proving that even a “little red state trucking association” can make a big impact.
In this conversation, Kent also digs into another pressing issue: tort reform and why it’s critical
for the future of trucking. From nuclear verdicts to liability challenges, he explains how legal reform could help protect drivers, carriers, and the industry as a whole.
