A Disciple-Making Culture
In our exploration of Acts 11-14, we encounter the powerful story of the church in Antioch, a shining example of what it means to be a disciple-making community. This narrative challenges us to consider how we can cultivate a culture of intentional discipleship within our own church. The key message is clear: becoming a disciple-making church requires great intentionality and a commitment to doing ministry together. We’re called to reach out to those far from Jesus, invest in growing believers, and meet practical needs in our community. Just as the early church in Antioch was marked by diversity and unity, we too must strive to reflect our community while being directed by the Holy Spirit. This passage reminds us that we’re all called to be everyday disciple-makers, living with gospel intentionality in our spheres of influence. As we reflect on this, let’s ask ourselves: How can we contribute to building a disciple-making culture in our church? What steps can we take to live out our faith with greater purpose and intentionality?
