Professor Gary Palin is an entrepreneur and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship with a combination of 40+ years experience in academic & entrepreneurial settings. He has been recognized as a top 25 entrepreneurship education thought leader and was a founding member of the MIT Global Startup Workshop Board of Advisors. Palin founded the Entrepreneurship Education Initiative at NC State University in 1993 and served as the executive director until 2008. Palin was a faculty member of the NC State College of Management for 17 years. He also guided the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Elon University as the executive director from 2008 through 2012 leading it to a #19 ranking. Palin is currently a faculty member at the University of Southern Maine.
Serial entrepreneur Ryan Budden has participated in all aspects of business as a founding team member in five startups. He consults dozens of startups in a Chief Technology Officer capacity. Budden started in the technology industry by teaching himself to code while developing a mobile application that became one of the early movers in the geo-fencing industry with an innovative approach to social host liability. From there he consulted startups all the way to fortune 100 companies specializing in using native mobile apps to solve difficult problems. He has developed his own applications, built teams from the ground up, and managed large remote teams.
