All About Baseball with Byron Copley
Book Review: Tinkers to Evers to Chance
I want to share my recommendation for you to read the book, “Tinker to Evers to Chance — The Chicago Cubs and The Dawn of Modern America.” It’s an excellent account of this famous shortstop (Tinker), second baseman (Evers), and first baseman (Chance) combination that helped the Cubs to dominate the National League for the first 10 years of the 20th century (1901-1910) and accelerate the popularity of Big-League baseball. But it’s about so much more — as you will discover when you open the cover and start reading. Be sure to not skip to the end!
