29. Mr. Tolbert Goes to Prison for Embezzlement
Bill Tolbert was a successful businessman who donated thousands of dollars to charity and political campaigns. He was also involved in the community—a real up-and-comer. But he was not the man everyone thought he was. And all that money he donated? It wasn’t his. As it turns out—Bill Tolbert was a thief! In episode 29. Mr. Tolbert Goes to Prison for Embezzlement, I speak with Leah Wietholter.
Leah Wietholter is the CEO of Workman Forensics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also A Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Public Accountant, and Private Investigator. She is an expert in following patterns to find money. Leah discovered a talent for forensic accounting while working with the FBI. Following employment with the FBI, she opened Workman Forensics to equip clients with tools to find money. She worked with companies that suspected money was missing, parties in divorce cases, and attorneys partnering on criminal defense, divorce, estate, partnership disputes, and other litigation matters.
Leah has also created a new interactive continuing education experience – The Investigation Game. The game-based training allows attendees to hone their investigative and data sleuthing skills on a real-life case study in a collaborative team environment. She also hosts The Investigation Game Podcast, where she discusses all things related to investigations with industry experts, providing tips and tools to help listeners become modern-day Sherlock Holmes. Leah holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Oral Roberts University and an MBA from Oklahoma State University.
