Avoiding Achievement Addiction: Understanding 7 Critical factors
This episode is brought to you by the Youth Performance Institute.
Everyone is familiar with the potentially ruinous consequences of various addictions. However, there is one addiction that is encouraged, actively promoted, and even championed. Most everyone thinks of achievement as something very positive. We push ourselves, our children, and our employees to reach high and achieve great things. However, there is a dark side to achievement that everyone should be aware of.
The intent of this podcast is not to denigrate or disparage high achievement in any way. Helping people push the limits of extraordinary achievement represents the cornerstone of my career. My hope is that by better understanding the key factors involved with extraordinary achievement, the risk of achievement addiction will be significantly minimized.
