Faith on Trial: What Jason McGuire’s Story Means for Every Christian
This week on The SoCon Report, we’re bringing you one of the most important and sobering conversations we’ve ever hosted. I sat down with Jason McGuire, Executive Director of New York Families Foundation, whose newly released documentary Inmate 090198 tells the full story of what happened when the state came after him for standing firm in his Christian convictions.
Many of you know Jason as a faithful advocate for life, family, and religious liberty in one of the toughest political climates in the country. What fewer people know is the personal cost he paid when New York Attorney General Letitia James launched charges against him, setting off years of legal pressure and intense public scrutiny. Jason’s account reveals the growing reality of lawfare aimed at silencing Christian and conservative voices.
In our interview, Jason talks openly about the moment the charges came, how he processed the accusations, and what it was like to spend his first weekend behind bars as a husband, father, and ministry leader. He also shares how the Lord strengthened him when the weight of the situation felt overwhelming.
Jason’s new documentary Inmate 090198 is now available, and I cannot encourage you strongly enough to watch it. His story is a warning, but it is also a testimony of God’s faithfulness in the fire.
