Paratriathlete and DEAI Advocate
Erin Brown paratriathlete and DEAI advocate is a cancer survivor, amputee, advocate for accessibility, Godmother of Royal Caribbean’s ship Odyssey of the Seas, motivational speaker, mother and most of all an inspiration to all.
Brown was a collegiate track and field athlete with her whole life ahead of her; with all the dreams any young lady would wish for herself. She was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma which changed the course of her life. Brown made the decision to amputate her leg above the knee, but she said, “you may take my leg, but you will not take my life.”
With this positive attitude she has become an advocate for accessibility and inclusion where she highlights the need for society to become more aware of non-able persons and create a more inclusive society – for everyone. Her message is truly about living our lives authentically.
Erin’s work with her company Erin Brown Conects is all about helping companies connect with staff to ensure each employee can reach their highest potential by promoting inclusion and accessibility for disable personnel.
Her message is one of inspiration and positivity; showing up as your authentic-self and sharing all of your strengths, creates a better world for us all.
