Summer Vacation 2021
Summer Vacation 2021. One tank destinations! The two go together well. We’re talking about those that you pack the car with family and gear, head out to some place close but far enough away that it feels like a getaway. As we’re getting back out traveling, it’s also a good time to review planning tips and travel insurance after a pandemic. Things have changed and also things have remained the same. Having the most up to date information is more important than ever. “No disappointment allowed” should be the mantra for summer vacation 2021; and we can do that with proper planning, confirming and setting realistic expectations.
We start with planning tips. Everything from activities to accommodations. What’s new and what has changed. Next we move to those one tank destinations. With fuel and gas costs going up and up, controlling the transportation fees and costs is vital to staying within a reasonable budget. Close trips help with doing just that – there and back on one tank of gas.
For our friends in the Atlanta and North Georgia areas, we have the perfect One-Tank destination – Foxhall Resort in Douglasville.
Harrison Merrill shares how you can bring the whole family for a weekend or longer and have a full list of activities for everyone.
We wrap up the show with our friends from Allianz. Travel insurance has always been the best way to have a stress free vacation. Now is the time to check for insurance updates for both your itinerary and medical. Both are important.
Sarah Fouts shares the latest updates for travel insurance and the importance of including travel insurance in your travel plans – short or long trips. .
I am often asked what do I need to consider as we choose and decide the things to see and do on our next getaway. From accommodations which questions about hotels vs. Airbnb (Short Term Rentals).
Some renters are saying, “What was once an inexpensive option for accommodations is now equal to or more than a hotel stay.” I will talk about how you can sort through the fees and make an informed decision about your accommodations.
Another consideration is road trip vs. flying. And the answer is really more about your anxiety level. The airport is not a source of social distancing, although you are required to wear masks. And, fares are going up, up, up! Finding a great fare is more about planning ahead than ever before.
COVID mandates and regulations are changing quickly. Checking as you book and reconfirming as you get closer to your departure date is the best way to make sure there are no disappointments during your vacation.
