Today in Ontario, there are 76,000 residents in long-term care homes with another 30,000 people on waitlists. In the next five years, it’s estimated that an additional 50,000 people will need care in a nursing home in Ontario alone. But as Elder Rights Lawyer Melissa Miller discusses in this crucial episode, not all homes are providing the necessary care to residents, and in some cases, it appears that profits are put ahead of people.
