The 2 Minute Word
God Has Your Supply
Philippians 4:19 KJV
Years ago, my truck broke down while I was on a trip driving my kids from Atlanta to Detroit for summer vacation. We were driving along, singing as we drove up I 75, happy that school was finally out, on our way to grandmas, when bam the car simply stopped. In God’s way He didn’t have allow the car to stop in the middle of the road, no we were at an exit, right at the top of a hill. Out of harm’s way we sat in the car as I tried to get it started and moving.
Finally, I realized it was the transmission, and I just sat there rather dazed because I knew that I was highly favored, and that God always has provision for me. After about 5 minutes my kids were began to worry, “asking what are we going to do now”. I closed my eyes and remembered the seed for today, Philippians 4:19
“My God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”
I smiled at the kids and said, “Watch God”.
As if on cue a car slowed past us, and the guy saw we were stalled and turned around. He was dressed in a suit and tie and was smiling, and I felt peace as he approached the passenger side of the truck.
I told him that it was my transmission, and that we were miles from home. He smiled and said no worries, my brother in law owns a tow truck. He promptly called his brother who came right away to help. He accessed the damage and said yes it is the transmission, as he began putting the truck on the wrecker. Before I could say another word, he exclaimed don’t my brother owns a transmission repair shop is a Christian man.
God always has you covered.
