Carrie Osgood was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It’s a small town that had a real community feel that she loved growing up. Her family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when she was 11. She loved how spiritual New Mexico is. According to Carrie people will stop what they are doing to watch a sunset and enjoy it. She and her friends made their own fun as she grew up. Both her parents were the most influential people to her equally during her childhood. She was incredibly successful as a youth in arts and crafts competitions inspired by her mom. In fact, there was an article in the local newspaper featuring how many ribbons she had won by 9 years old. From her father, she was inspired to be curious about our world and current events. According to Carrie, that merger of both influences is who she is today.
