The Transformation of Comedy Launch

Rebecca Deupree is a writer, improviser, and actress who is passionate about the transformational power of comedy. She was a lawyer until 2015 when she felt called to leave the security of her well-worn career path and pivot into creative writing. The knowledge that she wanted to be a screenwriter was one of her most persistent, undeniable nudges from Divine Intelligence, and she followed it even though it felt crazy. Since that initial leap, she has followed the Divine breadcrumbs, which led from writing to improv to acting. All these baby steps have culminated in Rebecca's current project: a collaborative web-series called Dial Mom for Murder. The comedy series follows local Mom, Delaney, and novice investigator, Bev, as they create a podcast and attempt to solve the mysterious disappearance of another local mom, Teensy Peterson. The pilot episode will air on YouTube in late April, and the remaining episodes will be created in direct participation and collaboration with you, the audience!! The idea for a collaborative, choose-your-own adventure web series came directly from Divine Intelligence and has never before been done!!
