In this episode of the GovFuture Podcast we feature a panel discussion from the February 15, 2024 GovFuture Forum DC event that took place in Washington, DC. The hot topic panel focused on “Modernizing Gov: AI and Data Focus”. Panelists are from FEMA, Department of State, and FDIC.

The panel discusses how they are exploring emerging technologies, such as AI and predictive analytics to enhance modernization efforts within their agencies. Also, the role data analytics and AI have on decision-making processes. The panelists share how they are employing scalable and sustainable implementation of IT modernization efforts. They also discuss issues related to data governance, data security, and data integrity.

It’s hard to have a conversation these days around AI without discussing generative AI. The panelists shared how their agencies are leveraging Generative AI to support mission outcomes. Also, how GenAI will become embedded in SaaS solutions and what that means for policies around the use of GenAI at agencies. There were so many incredible nuggets of knowledge shared throughout this entire panel it’s worth listening to the whole thing.
