In May 2023, the US Department of Labor held a Federal Tech Day at their headquarters in Washington, DC. Dozens of groups from DOL and other agencies came together to showcase the cool and innovative technology that is happening in the Federal government. In this episode of the GovFuture podcast we get the chance to talk to Gundeep Ahluwalia who is the Chief Information Officer at U.S. Department of Labor. Gundeep shares the genesis of the Fed Tech Day event, the goals of the event, and some highlights of what was showcased. He also discusses both the unique challenges and also opportunities when it comes to fostering innovation within the federal government.
