Episode 014 of the Davo Show
The supreme importance of personal growth

Working towards my Personal growth is the most important thing I do.

My life has gotten better and better because I’ve tried to make it better.

Drip by drip oceans fill

Incremental change over time makes huge differences.

How can we continue to grow, little by little, day by day so that we feel like we’re making progress?

By taking lots of small actions on a regular basis.

Progress is huge for us.

When we feel like we’re making progress, we feel good about ourselves and we feel more positive attitudes towards everything.

When we feel like we’re stuck, its hard and even depressing. But that depressing feeling is actually there for us to show us it’s time to change and grow.

Making a switch from consumer to producer

Creative growth is one of the reasons I am re-focusing on a daily podcast.

It’s a simple way to get ideas out onto the world that can help make a difference in my life and other peoples lives.

On that note, I hope you will stay tuned subscribe to the Davo show, check out the posts at davidbourne.com, and on all the socials so we can grow together.

[0:12] Yeah, it comes in stereo. See you say something over here Margaret. Hello, and now I turn, And you’re over there And it looks so cool.

[0:27] No, it’s so fun being a nerd, Bye Marg.

[0:38] My teenage daughter Margaret thinks that my new invention looks silly and she’s right. But I’ve got stereo.

Stereo microphones so I can come out in the woods and listen to stuff like that.

Birds in stereo up into trees which is awesome. So the Devo show which is what you’re listening to I call it experiments in ideas and sound and so, that’s what I’m doing experimenting with ideas and sound.

Today’s topic is, personal growth and how important that is and how I hope that you are making it one of the most important things that you do, because if you do that, your life will change, I promise you.

That is what’s happened to me.

I’ve been on a personal growth kick for decades now, and it has made a world of difference to make incremental changes day by day, tweaking how I see the world, how I move through the world, how I create, how I engage with people, trying to tweak it bit by bit.

[2:05] It’s partly why I’ve become a life coach. It’s one of the reasons why.

Probably a big reason, because I believe in personal growth.

I believe that if we focus on it, that we can really change our lives for the better and become our truest selves.

Which gets me back to the dorky device that I’ve got on my head, which is a stereo recording apparatus.

It’s just a couple of wireless mics attached to the rims of my reading glasses.

I just came up with it a few seconds ago. I showed it to Margaret.

She thought it was ridiculous, and it is. And that’s awesome.

It is allowing me to be out here in the woods and hopefully capturing my voice as well as Some stereophonic…

[3:01] So, I’m going to shoot this up to my podcast server and ask that you will subscribe and, stay tuned to this channel where we will be digging into more personal growth topics.

Hopefully every day, if I can get my act together.

See you out there.
