NTDC ‘All-Stars’ Promise To Make 2025 Safety Drive For A Cure Quite Memorable
On March 22nd in Atlanta, the 14th edition of the Safety Drive For A Cure will take place, and Herschel Evans, who is the driving force behind this annual charity event, is our guest on this episode of the podcast. Built around a TDC-style competition, the Safety Drive For A Cure supports the mission of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. For veterans of state TDCs and the NTDC, the Safety Drive For A Cure provides the opportunity to gauge where you are in your preparation for making a run on the road to the state events and to the nationals.
Over its first 13 years, the Safety Drive For A Cure has seen over 200 professional drivers from more than 25 states make the trip to compete in the event. More importantly, the Safety Drive For A Cure has raised over $350,000 during the past 13 years to help in the fight against Pediatric Brain Cancer. In this episode of the podcast, we talked with Herschel about the history of the event and how it has grown over the years to become one of the premiere “preseason” stops for those trying to make it back to the NTDCs. Herschel also gives us a preview of some of the folks who have registered to compete in the 2025 edition of the Safety Drive For A Cure. As you’ll hear from Herschel, this list of all-stars includes past national champions and NTDC Grand Champions, creating a field featuring some of the most accomplished professionals in the recent history of the trucking industry.
