The Night Light with Joshua Johnson

Covering Israel / Replacing Joe Manchin
Do you trust the media’s reporting on the war in Israel? One critic’s questionable claim got a number of journalists in Gaza in hot water… and in real danger.
I’ve got a bone to pick with a group that’s upset over mainstream coverage of Israel. They basically accused some photographers covering Gaza of being complicit with Hamas. That led two Israeli politicians to say those journalists should meet the same fate as the terrorists. What does it really take to cover a war?
First, my thoughts on Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV). He just announced that he’s not running for re-election, raising new problems for Democrats. His decision could shape his party’s whole strategy for the election… which, I suspect, is just the way he likes it.
