Here's the Deal: Fitness, Nutrition, & Mindset for People Who Don't Want Life to Suck
Get Out of a Slump & Set Up Your Environment for Success
Your fitness journey is not going to be sunshine and rainbows and puppies all the time. And right now, we’re feeling that. We’re in a slump.
It’s ok to allow yourself these moments! No one is dialed in and enthusiastic all the time.
But you can’t stay there forever.
Today, we talk through the action steps we’re taking to get ourselves out of our respective slumps, and giving you some suggestions and helpful action steps to get you out of yours… like rearranging your pantry to support your goal-oriented choices, finding what in your environment you can reasonably control, examining your gym plan, where to dig up some motivation.
We talk through the process of setting up a consistency challenge when we notice our nutrition consistently slipping, when we know what we’re doing is sustainable, but we’re just making a lot of excuses.
We also touch on the importance of making sure what you’re doing in the gym is realistic and sustainable, since that can play a major role in burnout and fatigue. No, you don’t have to go to the gym 6 days a week.
“The way we get out of a slump is taking action. Not thinking about it, not waiting for the motivation to come, not stopping at ‘well, I want to do this.’ You take action. Baby steps, baby steps are still steps.” – Iris
“If you're not feeling motivated and your body is physically fatigued and you’re going to the gym 6 days a week, you need to re-evaluate what you’re doing to see if that’s realistic, because it’s more than likely not.” - Brooke
